Introduction Period

AEGEE is an international student organization which has locals in more than 200 cities spread all across Europe. We regularly organize parties, exchanges, international events, and other fun activities. Both on the local level as well as on the European level we organize activities which you are very welcome to check out. As always, we start the year with an introduction period where you can join us to find out more about AEGEE.

In the introduction period (at the start of a semester) several activities take place.
- Every Tuesday we have a drink where you can come and talk to the people from AEGEE, as well as enjoy some tasty beverages. You can find us at café de Twee Heeren located at Platielstraat 17-19 every Tuesday from 10 pm onwards. The first official drink takes place on the 30th of August.
- On the 9th September we are organizing Carribean Summer Party where we will celebrate the last days of summer.
- 15th September: Walking drink. We visit several of our member’s homes where we drink and eat snacks together. What makes it special is that every house will represent a different country with corresponding food, drinks, and music.
- 22nd September: Quiz night. If you would like to test your knowledge on various topics, try out our quiz night where your proficiency of random trivia gets rewarded!
- 29th September: Beer Tasting: Everyone brings their favorite specialty beers, it is your challenge to convince the others of the superiority of your beer.
- 6th: October: International Dinner: A classic AEGEE event where everyone is asked to bring a dish from his/her home country. This is your chance to share the cuisine of your culture while trying out the cookery of all kinds of different nationalities.
- 14-16th October: Members Weekend. At the end of the introduction period there is always the (in)famous members weekend where we spend one weekend in Belgium. This is the place where you can get to know the AEGEE spirit while we are having a good time together.

We hope to see you soon!
